| The type of geometry we are most familiar with is called Euclidian geometry. It works well for plotting lines and calculating shapes. For example, if I am in conflict and you are in transforming then we can both aim to reach alignment. On this simple little graph it is easy to draw two lines and see that, while they are not aligned, they are converging. Now there are other types of geometry. For example, spherical geometry is used to plot the course for air travel around the globe. There are also non-Euclidian geometries that work with multi-dimensional space.

| | If you remember in a previous article I humorously said that the address on this little graph that represents the Kingdom of God is (7,-7,7,7). Continuing along with that same vein of dry humor, the fallacy with that prior assertion is that the actual representation of the Kingdom of God is (infinity, -infinity, infinity, infinity). That address is a bit tough for Euclidian geometry, but non-Euclidian multi-dimensional geometry works quite will with those types of numbers.
| | Now one of the most interesting properties of non-Euclidian multi-dimensional geometry is that you can actually do calculations with infinity and get results. For example, the bearing you will need to travel from transforming to alignment is exactly the same bearing that I will need to travel to go from conflict to alignment. Non-Euclidian multi-dimensional geometry confirms something that theologians have been saying for thousands of years. No matter where we start from, as long as we both stay on a true course toward God our paths will be parallel—our lives will be aligned.
Interestingly, if we can stay on that course long enough we will converge on a point. One of the properties of a point in geometric space is that there is nothing smaller. Thus, our journeys will lead us through the narrowest gate imaginable as long as we stay on true course toward God. And if we check our bearings we will find that there is only one path. So, from no matter where we start, as long as we both set our lives in alignment with God, we will be in alignment with each other.
