The second edition of the Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3^®) standard is underway. OPM3 offers the key to organizational project management maturity with three interlocking elements: Knowledge, helping organizations understand Best Practices; Assessment, enabling organizations to evaluate their current situation and identify areas in need of improvement; and Improvement, which helps organizations map out the steps needed to achieve their goals.

The OPM3 team is eager to learn more about what the community thinks about OPM3, and how the standard should evolve. The team has developed a set of online surveys — (http://www.pmi.org/info/PP_OPM3Survey.asp ) please make them available to component members by placing a link either on your Web site, in a chapter e-mail or in your e-newsletters.
